10 Minute Quilt Block – New Technique
Has anyone heard of this new quilting technique? My Mom learned about this, I believe, through a YouTube quilting video in which the woman who create the technique proceeds to explain how you can create your quilt blocks in 5 minute or 10 minute intervals. The difference between the 5 and 10 minute time frames depends, largely, upon the number of quilting patterns you want in the square.
I’ve thought about purchasing the books that show this quilting technique but I’m sure if they are a good purchase. If you’ve used the 5 minute quilt block technique, or the 10 minute quilt block technique, I’d love to hear about your experience and if you found there were enough creative square lay outs to keep your creative juices flowing.
In the 10 minute quilt block design, I personally like the idea of making ten minute table runners. I’m always looking for nice table runners for my home, and like to change out the table runners depending on the season or holiday. With this technique, I believe, I’ll be able to roll them out rather quickly.
So, if you’ve tried this technique, please let me know how it turned out for you – by leaving a comment below. If you have a particular design layout that you liked, we’d like to know that too. Sharing will help us keep our readers informed on the best quilting techniques for today’s quilters.
